Harness Manufacture
PPS Ltd offer a comprehensive package for the manufacture of all types of Wiring Harness or Cable Assembly, from simple point to point assemblies to complex Aircraft system harnesses.
PPS Ltd also has considerable experience in the manufacture of DIT-MCO automatic testing harnesses used in many areas of industry.
The level of inspection is to customer requirements from batch or "Dip" check through to 100% inspection at all stages in the manufacturing process. Inspection records are maintained showing Operator, Tooling used, relevant material batch information (where 100% traceability is required) and date of inspection by our qualified Inspection Staff.
Completed assemblies are then tested and inspected to customer requirements prior to packing and despatch.
All tooling used in the manufacturing process is regularly inspected, maintained and calibrated to known standards, this includes soldering equipment and heat-guns used in any operation requiring thermal application such as heat shrink sleeve etc.
Test Bench Manufacture
PPS Ltd have for many years produced Aircraft System Test Benches for use on many Military and Civil Aircraft.
They have ranged in complexity from small uncomplicated single unit test bench with up to 500 individual cores (wires) to complete aircraft systems.
These comprising simulated cockpit assemblies with all other avionic system and sub-system units in/on up to 11 other benches ranging in size from two to five "Bays", each with many thousands of cores, including 1553 type Data-bus systems and all Aircraft power supplies.
All these assemblies are inspected and tested to customer requirements.
Test Sets and Ground Support Equipment
PPS Ltd can produce equipment for use "in the field" to support various tasks. This can vary from "Air transportable" to "Ruggedised" waterproof specialist cases. The equipment contained can be assembled according to its type of use and PPS Ltd can offer advice to customers that may be unsure of their exact requirements in this area.
CAD Support
PPS Ltd prides itself on the knowledge and understanding of its market and can offer advice to customers on the design of their individual requirements and where required offer a CAD drawing service to supplement the documentation for build of any equipment.
These can include wiring drawings, mechanical layout diagrams and mechanical panel manufacturing and engraving drawings. These are presented on an AutoCAD drawing package.
All customer drawings are evaluated and scrutinised prior to manufacture and advice given on any discrepancies.
